As per member request, here you go:
| What are your interests in addition to fitness and bodybuilding? |
I spend a lot of time with my kids doing everything from sports to games to reading…. Pretty much anything they want to do.
I like the outdoors, I like fishing camping, never was a hunter.

|
| What is your taste in music? |
Here are my three favorite artists:
John Mellencamp, loved his music since I first heard it in 6th grade.
The Cure. A far cry from Mellencamp, but great music.
John Smith. A local artist that my brother introduced me to, he is always in one of my disc players. Check him out at www.johnsmithmusic.com
I like just about any kind of music, I like classical, hard rock, new age, not really into the country thing yet, and most of the current pop music on the radio sucks. I am a talk radio guy, usually always have it on in the car.

| What are your favorite movies? |
I don’t get out to a lot of movies, but the last one I saw was Narnia. It was great especially because my three year old went to the theatre dressed as a lion. I swear everyone there thought it was a marketing stunt.
My favorite movies of all time: Stand by Me and Dead Poet’s Society….. Robin Williams is my favorite actor.

| What do you like to read? |
Unfortunately, I am always reading industry mags like Muscle and Fitness, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, Personal Fitness Professional etc .etc. I do subscribe to Newsweek and National Geographic as well.
I always thought that Muscle Media 2000 was the best training pub out there and then Bill Phillips sold out to the mainstream. Muscular Development was good too when they were doing the all natural thing.
Other reads aside from the industry stuff: “Work with Passion” and Carmichaels book “Food for Fitness” (I think) are half read on my night stand. Last full read was “The 5 People You Meet in Heaven” (over rated.) I have read a lot of Dan Millman’s work and loved it all try “The Law’s of Spirit” and “Body Mind Mastery.” Two of my favorite books of all time: “Dear Theo: Vincent VanGoghs Letters to His Brother.” And “The Agony and the Ecstasy.” The biography of Michaelangelo, ironically both by Irving Stone.

| What do you watch on TV? |
Ready for this? Don’t have TV. Okay, I have a TV but we don’t get cable, and where we live we don’t get any channels without it. I guess I could buy an antenna, but don’t really want to. Anyway, we haven’t had cable since we moved from our old house 5 years ago. We have a huge kids video collection and we spend a lot of family tie together.
Quite honestly, I am more in tune with current events now than when I had TV. I get my news via the net, the newspaper and the radio. It’s kinda like the music on the radio, most of the stuff on TV sucks, and I save $50 a month.

| Who do you admire? |
I am not sure if this is good or bad, but I have never really admired anyone or had a hero. The biggest influence in my life was my high school coach (Bova) who taught me to lift properly and always pushed me to be my best. I still talk to him once a week.
Growing up I wanted to be Franco Harris or Lynn Swann, and my favorite athlete of all time is Barry Sanders. Sorry Payton and Emmitt fans but Barry was the greatest there ever was.

|
| What activities do you enjoy with your family? |
|
Hit the pool, play, travel.
|
|
| Where have you traveled and where would you like to go that you have never been to? |
I have been to Italy 2x, love it. I could live in Florence. Other than that it has only been in the states. Mami, Fla, SoCal, Seattle, Wa, NYC, and a lot of places in between. Oh, and I have done a border crossing at both Matamoros and Tijauana (legally I might add).
I am going on a cruise this year, not sure where, and I am intrigued by art, history etc. I would like to see more of Europe, go to Alaska, would like to experience the far east.

| What is your favorite exercise/bodypart to work and which is your least favorite? |
I love working legs. It is a test of your toughness. There are a lot of top-heavy guys roaming around the gyms, simply because it takes balls to train legs hard. I have been an athlete my entire life, so athletics and leg training go hand in hand. My favorite lift is the squat.
My least favorite bodypart to work is biceps, and I hate straihgt bar curls.
